Detailed 5-Day Desert Explorer Itinerary

• Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Depart Marrakech and cross the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka Pass through the High Atlas Mountains. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, exploring the ancient ksar and learning about its history as a filming location. Continue to Ouarzazate, visit Kasbah Taourirt. Overnight in traditional riad.
• Day 2: Ouarzazate - Skoura - Dades Valley - Morning visit to Atlas Film Studios. Travel through Skoura palmery, visiting ancient kasbahs including Kasbah Amridil. Continue to Dades Valley with its dramatic rock formations known as "Monkey Fingers." Visit traditional Berber villages and learn about local culture. Overnight in Dades Valley area.
• Day 3: Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Merzouga Desert - Morning exploration of Dades Valley's unique landscapes. Travel to Todra Gorge for hiking and visiting traditional villages. Continue through Erfoud fossil area to Merzouga Desert. Evening camel trek into the Sahara to watch spectacular sunset over Erg Chebbi dunes. Overnight in luxury desert camp with traditional music and storytelling.
• Day 4: Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Ouarzazate - Sunrise over the Sahara dunes - unforgettable experience. Return to Merzouga village by camel. Visit Rissani traditional market and explore the ancient trading town. Drive back through dramatic desert landscapes to Ouarzazate. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
• Day 5: Ouarzazate - High Atlas - Marrakech - Morning visit to Ouarzazate's cultural sites. Return drive across High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech with scenic stops. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. End of tour with drop-off at your accommodation, with lasting memories of Morocco's desert beauty and ancient architecture.
