Detailed 5-Day Imperial & Desert Itinerary

  • Day 1: Marrakech Imperial Discovery - Arrival in Marrakech. Explore the UNESCO-listed medina, visit the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and Koutoubia Mosque. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Djemaa el-Fna square with its food stalls, storytellers, and entertainers. Evening at leisure to explore the souks. Overnight in traditional riad in Marrakech.
  • Day 2: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Depart Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains via spectacular Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,260m). Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, famous film location for Game of Thrones and Gladiator. Continue to Ouarzazate, visit Kasbah Taourirt and learn about traditional architecture.   • Day 3: Ouarzazate - Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Merzouga Desert - Travel through Skoura palmery with ancient kasbahs. Continue to Dades Valley with dramatic rock formations. Visit Todra Gorge for hiking and cultural encounters. Continue to Merzouga Desert. Evening camel trek into the Sahara Desert to watch spectacular sunset over the dunes.   • Day 4: Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Ouarzazate - Sunrise over the Sahara dunes - magical experience. Return to Merzouga village by camel. Visit Rissani traditional market and explore this historic trading town. Drive back through dramatic desert landscapes to Ouarzazate. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
