Detailed 5-Day Itinerary

  • Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Depart Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,260m). Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou. Continue to Ouarzazate, visit Taourirt Kasbah and film studios. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
  • Day 2: Ouarzazate - Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Travel through the Rose Valley and Skoura palmery. Continue to Dades Valley with its dramatic rock formations. Visit Todra Gorge for hiking and exploration. Overnight in Todra Gorge area.
  • Day 3: Todra Gorge - Merzouga Desert - Travel through Erfoud fossil area to Merzouga. Evening camel trek into the Sahara Desert to watch sunset over the dunes. Overnight in traditional desert camp with dinner and Berber music.
  • Day 4: Merzouga - Ouarzazate - Sunrise over the dunes. Return to Merzouga village by camel. Drive back through the desert landscape to Ouarzazate. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
  • Day 5: Ouarzazate - High Atlas - Marrakech - Morning at leisure in Ouarzazate. Return drive across High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. End of tour with drop-off at your accommodation.
