Overview

Drive shortly to Medina, get dropped at one of the narrow busy alleys to venture out into the historical souks of Marrakech. Your experience starts from the artisan’s quarters where you will stop every now and then by professional Maalams workshops, modelling raw materials into dazzling shapes before they are transported next-door to the main shopping lanes to impress the visitors. Explore all of the leather artisans where different hides are skillfully prepared, dyed, cut and stitched the right way just like centuries ago.  Stop by the lantern’s makers stare at the apprentices hammering flat brass pieces to get them ready for an artistic molding course to become magical lamps. On the way, search for the metal artisans, generally inconspicuous in their murky workshops, who turn up the steel and other metals into beautiful furniture. Get a walk by the dyers district where various yarns are tinted in massive vats and drying in sun before they are sold to weavers to design incredible patterns on original Moroccan carpets. Let yourself be taken by the sounds, colors, scents and scenes through the dynamic lanes of the souks, where you can experiment with your haggling talent in one of the shopping experiences. Your journey will come to its end at the famous Jemaa EL Fna square where you might want to take to spend some moments looking at the day entertainers including snake charmers, water porters. Finally, get transferred back to your accommodation.
