Overview

This morning, in company of our mountain guide, we will board a four-wheel vehicle and head south towards the Atlas Mountains. We will drive first through agricultural plains and a small hilly landscape to Takerkouste small town. We will stop by the dam to enjoy the views of the lake and get introduced to the world of the Berbers, inhabitants of mountains. We will carry on through the windy route to Tiferwine village, a point where we will start off-roading through an arid scenery where we will come across shepherds herding their livestock in those open rocky spaces We will also drive through tiny villages on the way up to Tizi Ouadou village at 4200 ft where we will stop to stretch our legs and enjoy the spectacular views of Toubkal National Park, its stunning peaks, its lush valleys topped by Berber dwellings. During our exploration of this typical berber village constructed from stone and clay, we will be welcomed by Lahcen, our host who will invite us in his house to share a glass of mint tea with his family. After this great moment with the local community, we will head all the way downhill along a pretty route through pines, juniper trees to Ouirgane Valley at the foot of the park. We will stop for lunch at Roseraie Restaurant, a serene property in the Atlas Mountains. After lunch, we will drive for a short distance to get to the town of Asni in the green Valley located at the foot of the mountains. From there we will drive through the impressive gorges of My Brahim before we reach the flat lands and drive the last leg to Marrakech.
